Chill Out Sunset Cruise

We leave Ayia Napa Harbour at 10:00 — before the charter boats, before the jet skis, before anyone else has had breakfast. The water at Cape Greco in the early hours is a different thing entirely. Flat, clear, quiet. And the turtles are active. That's not a guess — loggerhead sea turtles feed in the cooler sunset water, and Captain Jimmy has been watching their patterns for over three decades. He knows where they'll be. Most sunsets, we find them within the first 45 minutes.

The route takes you through four of the most iconic spots on the Cyprus coastline. Love Bridge first, then into the sea caves — where the catamaran gets close enough to swim inside, something no rigid-hull boat can do safely. Blue Lagoon next, for open swimming and snorkelling over the reef. Then Konnos Bay on the way back, one of the cleanest stretches of water in the eastern Mediterranean.

Snorkelling gear is on board for everyone. The crew briefs you on what to look for and where to look — not a script, just experience. If there are turtles nearby, we find them. If there's an octopus tucked under a ledge in the cave, someone will point it out.

By the time we anchor at Blue Lagoon, the BBQ is already going. Chicken souvlaki and halloumi grilled on deck, tzatziki made that sunset, bread that came from the harbour before we left. Halal and vegan options are standard, not an afterthought. You eat on the water with the engines off and nothing to do but sit there and accept that this is one of the better sunsets of the year.
